Playoff fever

My little city has a history of hockey-related civil unrest. So as great as it was that the Oilers destroyed Detriot last night, the ensuing partying, honking and people trampolining in the middle of the street was a sign of much worse things to come.

This post-game scene at Whyte Avenue seems a bit excessive for a first-round win:

Adrian caught a bird's-eye view from his apartment.

If Calgary closes out Anaheim on Wednesday the Oilers and Flames will meet in round two. And given the hockey fever around here, that's a match-up that inspires as much fear as excitement.
